چکیده

Aim: Aim of study is to evaluate the fracture resistance root canal treated Mandibular 1st and 2nd molar teeth with Conventional(TEC) access design Truss(TREC) restored composite resin subjected thermocycling. Method: 60 human (mandibular) were randomly categorised into six (6) groups: CON (GroupI), TEC (GroupIII), TREC(GroupV) not thermocycling whereas CONTC (GroupII),TECTC(GroupIV) TRECTC(GroupVI) Biomechanical preparation canals done upto #F3 Protaper gold rotary files (Dentsply) obturated using gutta-percha points SDR bulk-fill composite(Dentsply). All samples then thermo-cycling for 5000cycles between 15°C 45°C different time intervals their toughness tested under an Universal Tester steel ball diameter 5mm at a constant 1mm/min speed. Two-way one-way ANOVA test employed statistical analysis. Result: The strength in TREC group had no notable variation control (P>0.05) without Both designs notably reduced after (P<0.05). least was noted TECTC group. Conclusion: ought increase

Effect of root canal preparation, type of endodontic post and mechanical cycling on root fracture strength

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the impact of the type of root canal preparation, intraradicular post and mechanical cycling on the fracture strength of roots. MATERIAL AND METHODS eighty human single rooted teeth were divided into 8 groups according to the instruments used for root canal preparation (manual or rotary instruments), the type of intraradicular post (fiber posts- FRC and cast post and cor...

Evaluation of Shears Strength of Dowel Amalgam and Post-amalgam in Root Canal-treated Teeth

Introduction: Amalgam, which can be applied with or without dowel, is one of the commonly used restorative materials for core restoration in pulpless teeth. The current study aimed to compare the shear strength of amalgam cores with and without dowel. Methods: A total number of 20 recently extracted mandibular premolars were assigned to two groups of 10 equal s...

Endodontic Retreatment of a Maxillary First Molar with Unusual Palatal Root Canal Morphology: A Case Report

Introdouction: Variations in root canal morphology pose a challenge for successful endodontic treatment. The root canal anatomy of the maxillary first molar has been often described as three roots with four canals (two mesiobuccal, one distobuccal, and one palatal). The occurrence of two palatal canals in one palatal root is quite rare. This report represents the case of a maxillary first molar...
